My favorite thing about a location-independent lifestyle? The freedom to travel anywhere I choose! For my first lifestyle-design experiment, I’ve decided to take a road trip.
A long road trip.
From Cape Breton, Canada, to the Chilean Patagonia
Since… I don’t know… forever?, it’s been my dream to travel the entire American continent overland.
Well, what good are dreams if they’re never acted on?
So I left my job and set out to travel to the ends of the American continent. Oh, and got married in the process too.
It’s not an understatement to say 2012 was been an exciting, busy year. I’m working on projects I love, and living a life of travel. And there’s no real reason why you can’t too.
If you’re interested in a life of travel, I encourage you to do it. It’s been an eye-opening experience. It’s not always rosy, but whenever life gives me a few lemons all I have to do is think the following:
“What would I be doing, right now, if I were stuck in an office somewhere?”
Funny how that always seems to cheer me right up.
So far, I’m a third of the way into my journey. Check out the trip journal below. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet on the road if you decide to start an epic road trip of your own – (Click on the pictures for trip details):
