Are You Looking For Happiness In All The Wrong Places?

Which of these three will get you closer to happiness?  Is it…  Money?  Power? Or maybe prestige?

Or possibly, none of the above?

Why do we want money? Is it to buy what we think you need? Or to do the things we’ve always wanted to do?

What about power?  Are you trapped in a situation that you can’t escape from?  Or one you *think* you can’t escape from?

What about prestige?  We all crave recognition and to feel appreciated.  Is the acceptance of people who truly don’t matter in the grand scheme of things all that necessary?

Our desires are often rooted in a deeper need.

Are You Looking For Happiness In All The Wrong Places?

Buying things will only make you happy for a little while.  But it won’t satisfy your soul.

Want for power is rooted in a desire to control. Why not learn to let go instead?  Acknowledge that some things won’t change, no matter how hard you try.  Focus on what you can change.

Recognition and acceptance only satisfies when it comes from people you love and respect.  Trying to please everyone else is bound to end in disappointment.  Seek to accept yourself and please the people who matter in your life.
